Miniature Tall Bearded Iris (MTB)


-- 16 to 25 inches. Great for arranging which is why they are called "table iris". Delicate in effect with very thin stalks. Blooming time is late IB season through the TB season. These petite beauties are a delightful addition to the garden.

FAIR HALDIS (Witt 75) Tan standards; falls, white lined tan. $4.00
GAJUS (Goos & Koenemann 06) Yellow standards; falls plum with white lines radiating over most of the falls, narrow white edge. Very striking in the garden. $6.00
HONORABILE (Lemon 1840) Yellow with maroon red veins on falls. Long blooming. Historic. $5.00
*KEIRITH ( Witt 98) Stands are pale yellow with freckles in pale lavender; falls are white, dotted and veined lavender. Yellow beards. Slight fragrance. Reported to rebloom on the west coast, but nothing here so far. $6.50.
** LADY EMMA (F. Jones 86) Lovely medium yellow with haft marks on the falls. In the fall, the clump blooms and blooms. Reblooms well in colder climates. $4.00
*RAVE REVIEW (Craig 92) Light lavender with light pinkish red beards. Slight sweet fragrance. No rebloom here so far; but we expect it to rebloom as it has good rebloom reports. $7.00

INTERMEDIATE BEARDED IRIS (IB)

-- 16 to 27 inches. Bloom between the SDBs and the talls. They offer and intermediate size for the middle of the perennial border. Very vigorous and produce many stalks.

BOTTLED SUNSHINE (Nichols 95) This one is very fragrant. Yellow stands; falls white with yellow border and on each side of the gold beards. $4.50

Border Bearded Iris (BB)

-- 16 to 27 inches. Bloom with the talls. The fourth in the group making up the medians: SDBs, IBs, MTBs and BBs. Shorter and smaller than the Tbs, giving another size to choose from where the TBs are just too large.

Arilbred (AB)

- like to be on the dry side in the summer and should be treated much the same as the Bearded Iris with excellent drainage. Sometimes characterized by prominent veining or contrasting signals. We have added several new selections and will add others back to the list as soon as we get our stock replenished. Most are in limited supply so order early.
    OGB- less than half aril content.

DAGLARI (Rich 73) Standards are light lavender; falls deeper, lightly veined; large dark maroon signal. Bronze beard. $9.00
DESERT CELEBRATION(Flanagan 97) OGB- Light violet stands with golden amber style arms; Falls light golden tan with darker streak entending from brown orange beard. $8.00
JEWEL OF OMAR (Boswell 86) OB- Medium blue with purple base stands; falls lime yellow, maroon brown around violet b. $9.00
Ice blue with small darker spot on falls. $8.00
*ULALENA (Sutton 03) Registered as a dwarf at 13" but is growing a little taller for us here in the garden. Stands are white; falls primrose yellow with a darker yellow signal area and some green gold veining. No rebloom here as yet. More likely to rebloom in warmer zones. $10.00
